Dear Codeigniter

I’ve been meaning to bring this up for a while but it never seemed to be the right time but I’ve met someone else so I think its time to finally end this relationship.

You’ve been good to me over the years, your simplicity and ease allowed me to finish things easily and on time but recently I’ve found you to be a little whiny and annoying and you just seem to do things which make my life difficult. It wasn’t always this way, once upon a time you were new and exciting and I could spend hours reading your user guide and tutorials whilst curled up in front of an open fire.

Don’t worry it’s not you its me, I’ve changed and the things that give me pleasure have changed too, I want to settle down with someone who just lets me get on and do the things I want, the way I want and with who I want and you just don’t seem to want to change fast enough for me to continue any longer.

I am sure there are lots of other people out there who you could give pleasure too and I wish you and them all the best of luck, people want different things and there is no single person who will be right for everyone.

I’m going to be moving with with Silex and her sister Symfony. They are all new and exciting and the flexibility of them gives them the appeal of an olympic gymnast who has won a gold medal, I have a good feeling that they have the ability to keep me happy for many years to come, I may even want to have their children someday.

I hope you understand and can see it in your heart to forgive me one day, I’ll still be around for a while until I can arrange to move all my things out of the house, I will do my best to get this over and done with as quickly and pain free as possible.
